Lucy Harrington is a Brooklyn-based director and producer, originally from Napa Valley, CA.
Lucy can often be found on the subway lugging tote bags full of props and cardboard scenery behind her. No craft or theatrical challenge is too big for her love of a good story. Lucy is passionate about creating artistic spaces emphasizing collaboration, empathy, appreciation of differences, and an openness to vulnerability. She is drawn to work that compliments unapologetic honesty with a daring spirit, and they believe this work thrives when discovery is central to the process.
Lucy has presented work with the New York Theatre Festival (Best Director Nominee), The Fresh Fruit Festival, The Chain Theater, and The RE/VENUE NYC project at Paradise Factory. She is currently directing a production of Chainsaw Tits, by Nicole Streger, which is in development and will make its New York premiere with Cherubs Productions in 2025.
Lucy studied at Northwestern University where she developed her love for new work development, directing a reading of Home For the Summer by Brandon Acosta, Juliet Huneke, and Bennett Petersen as part of American Music Theatre Project, and directing the world premiere of Last Song on Earth, a new musical by Kevin Park, Danielle Llevada, and Riley Glick.
Notably, Lucy directed the 80th Annual Dolphin Show Presents: Matilda, which became the Dolphin Show’s highest-grossing production., leading a cast of twenty-five.
