In the spring of 2021, I produced a devised musical cabaret we called The Purrfect Mewsical, a satire on the musical form. This production was the first in-person Northwestern show to occur following the COVID shutdown. I worked with university officials and risk management to ensure that the production would occur safely while prioritizing being in person with collaborators. The production was successful, reaching 500 audience members in person and hundreds more via a live stream. As an outdoor performance, we loaded our equipment in and out every day, essentially producing a show with the capacity to tour.
